The traditional houses are perfectly preserved, and even though time has passed, this place is more magical than ever. Explore the natural ambiance on the trail to Dumre Bazar and walk across tribal villages, immaculate forests, and hilltop shrines. Ancient buildings have been converted into comfy lodges and cafes, and every effort has been made to preserve it. The ancient architecture, fine dining, really gives Bandipur an enchanting appeal.

Bandipur sits on top of a hill, and it garners the attention of travelers by displaying its rich Newari culture and traditional buildings. The city was a vital stop on the India-Tibet trade route for many years until it was bypassed the Prithivi Highway. As you step into this beautiful city, one thing that will surely fascinate you is the blend of nature, culture and how the city still managed to maintain its majestic appearance throughout the years. We explore the numerous landmarks of this city which include the Padma library and to its opposite the Bindebasini temple which is a temple dedicated to the Goddess Durga.
